Why does human mind despair?

Why do we falter? Why does our heart sometimes feel like losing hope? This is something all of us must have thought at least once in our lifetime.

We always intend to do something in a way we planned. And we hope that the plan would be successful. We cling to a positive feeling called 'Hope'. This gives us strength to move forward. We always proceed with a thought that the drama of life, for once, will go as we planned. We do things with the thought of future success. But is it ever the way we think, no, we hope it would be?

Some of us have a strong heart. They do not falter. They do not lose hope. They do not have the fear of failure. And so they move with strong conviction. But most of us are afraid to lose hope. We hesitate while making decisions. We have doubts in our minds. Our hearts are weak and we cannot be convicted to one plan and one path. Thus we fail time and again.

People with strong heart have attachments to something or someone. These attachments make them strong. But when that something or someone is in danger and might be lost, even the strong hearts are engulfed in darkness. They despair.

People with weak hearts are also have attachments but these attachments make them vulnerable and they are easily affected by the nature's illusion of weakness. They are in despair beyond help. If left that way for a long time, this despair inside them turns them against the world.

So, Why do we despair when we know what it actually is? We despair because we are humans. We have a heart. It is a rule of nature that everything has a opposing force to it, positive/negative, light/dark, yin/yang, and so on. So if we despair we can always become happy too. Nature balances everything. and so nature also gives us a way out of despair. We just have to have a single ray of hope in our hearts and look for solution in all directions. We have to be strong.
