Basil Lemon Mojito Recipe - Summer Foods

Basil Lemon Mojito Recipe – refreshing summer mocktail beverage with fresh basil and lemon.

Usually mojito is made with mint leaves. However, this drink with basil and lemon is so good, that I am amazed by the flavors. Refreshing indeed in the summers. The peppery pungent taste of the basil complemented the tangy citrus taste of the lemons very well.

Instead of fresh basil, you can also use mint leaves or holy basil (Tulsi leaves). Mojito can be made in many batches and makes a good party drink.

Ingredients for 2 glasses:
  • 18 to 20 small basil leaves
  • 2 slices of lemon
  • 1 - 2 tablespoon sugar ( or a diabetic substitute)
  • a pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Ice cubes/Crushed Ice
  • Chilled WAter/Soda/Sparkling Water

Recipe:
1. In a mortar-pestle or in a pitcher/cocktail shaker take ⅛ cup basil leaves (about 18 to 20 small basil leaves), 2 slices of lemon, 1 to 2 tbsp sugar, a pinch of salt. 2 tbsp sugar makes the drink sweet. If you want more predominant tangy taste, then add 1 tbsp sugar. To make the drink diabetic friendly, add a sugar substitute like stevia. You can also use honey instead of sugar.
2. Muddle (lightly mash or crush) all the ingredients with a pestle or muddler. Do remove the lemon seeds if any.
3. Spoon the muddled ingredients in two glasses with all the juices and extract left on the mortar.
4. In each glass, add 1 tbsp lemon juice.
5. Add some crushed ice or ice cubes.
6. Pour soda or sparkling water or chilled water. You can also add half-half of soda and chilled water. Stir very well with a stirrer or spoon.
7. Serve Basil Lemon Mojito immediately.

You will completely refreshed and this is the best summer drink for parties, easy to make anytime and in any quantity. Enjoy your summer.

Number 1 - Numerology

The number 1 in numerology is the aspiration of humankind, what we hope to achieve.  It is everything and all included into one.  It represents God, Human, the Sun and the heart in your physical body.  From the 1 all things begin.  It is a masculine number, the aloneness, originality, and positivity.  The element is fire and from the 1 all things come (at least from this point forward, we will see later how the zero (0) holds even more power).

Working out your Life Path Number - Numerology

To calculate your Life Path Number, write down your birth date and total up the digits of each number (month, day and year) in your Birth Date separately, do not reduce 11′s or 22′s. Continue to add the digits of these three numbers together until you have one number between 1 and 55. Life Path Number Example: If you were born on November 13, 1990 (11/13/1990), then you would add Month: 11 (Do not reduce) Date: 13 = 1 + 3 = 4 Year: 1990 = 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19 = 1 + 9 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1 So, this equals 11 + 4 + 1 = 16/7 (16 is the Life Path Number, 7 is 1 + 6 reduced.)
